@ ... By: TheQuantum09. on 30 Aug 10, 02:49:21 @missrainbowbabydoll It's not just the words that you have to pay attention to in a song, but the spirit BEHIND a song. If you watch a horror movie or a suspense movie, the music carries an uneasy or weird mood when you look at a certain scene. It's the SAME way with R& B or Gospel music. God doesn't treat us with the same kind of love that we get from even the CLOSEST of family, friends or spouses. It's a spiritual love. Don't you believe that we should strive to give him the same?
@ ... By: TheQuantum09. on 30 Aug 10, 02:23:09 @missrainbowbabydoll There was NO self-expression involved when the Holy Bible was written. 2 Peter 1:21, "For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of MAN, but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the HOLY GHOST." Even though God created the world, he is not like the world. So when you worship The Lord, you should not bring him down to a WORLDLY level. John 12:32 JESUS said, "And I if I be LIFTED up FROM the earth, will draw all me unto me." Lift the savior UP. EXALT him.

So the first voice that God heard every morning was that of lucifer.God also said that satan has the same job on earth as he had in heaven the minister of music. So the devil still wants to take over the church and his best weapon is by music. If God wanted his music from satan he would have kept him in heaven. Music can go into the very mind of a man, disturb his conscience w/o consent.

By: TheQuantum09. on 20 Aug 10, 13:40:07 @kin1276 I don't have a problem with people writing secular songs, listening to secular songs or performing them to the audience that it was made for, but you can NOT bring these songs into the Lord's sanctuary. The same God who gave gifts and talents is also the same God whom, in Ephesians 5:19, stated that we should "speak to ourselves in PSALMS and HYMNS and SPIRITUAL songs, singing and making melody in our hearts to the Lord." And that's not JUDGING, that's straight out of the WORD.
@dmariomc People ... By: TheQuantum09. on 20 Aug 10, 13:23:03 @dmariomc People have a strong and bold will to follow MAN and not what GOD wants. How much have we disgraced God that we degrade his authority and call him a "DANCE PARTNER?"? So if I enter into the Lord's house and I break out singing, LET'S GET IT ON or GROOVE WITH YOU, it's OK. "It all depends on WHO I'm singing it to." GOD FORBID. GOD created man; therefore, people had better CEASE to go by what MAN says and live by the WORD OF THE LORD. Choose ye this day whom you will serve: God or man?
Did you know that ... By: dmariomc. on 20 Aug 10, 04:04:45 Did you know that the Salvation Army started off drawing people to Christ in this exact same way? They took popular bar songs and made them Christian.
Did you know Mahalia Jackson was shunned and ridiculed because she wouldn't sing "traditional" gospel and sang it with a Jazzy feel?
When Hammer became a minister, he didn't stop dancing, he just "switched dance partners".
This man has done nothing wrong, listen to what he said. It depends on WHO you singing it to.
